    Catalina Architecture + Design Ltd were commissioned to design and oversee the complete refurbishment of this two-storey cottage, including internal remodelling, removal of inappropriate materials and their replacement with traditional lime-based products.


    A new heating system was installed fed from a sustainable heat pump, with this remote property's power backed up by battery storage in the new detached workshop. 


    The existing single-storey front extension was replaced with a fully glazed walled structure, topped with a green roof. The large sliding openings looking out onto a paved terraced area with extensive views of Snowdonia National Park.
